“VSS code is triggered with three codes making the Ryker go into limp mode. It started happening when I was going around turns (left) then eventually it locked me out of full performance. YAW/SAS C0063 and/or C0052 and *C006C) I hit a guard rail as it jolted me. Turns out there are many that have had the same problem when noted threw BRP dealers. So this is a known problem with the pitman steering arm bushings. Mine is most defiantly loose.”

NHTSA complaint #11433278, filed 2021-09

“while making a left turn the right front brake comes on and causes the steering to shake and the rear to seem to fishtail. the bike has been back to the dealer for repairs several times. the last time it was there 10 months. got it back in march and it was good for almost a month and then it started again. the dealer is trying but can-am doesn't seem to be much help. been in the shop for over 15 months total.”

NHTSA complaint #11461007, filed 2022-04

“Vehicle goes into VSS mode when making left hand turnes at speeds of 30 MPH or more. Also cause the vehicle to fishtail. This cause the vehicle to swerve into the lane to the right while making the left turn. Breaking and shaking is automatically applied to the right tire while this is happening.”

NHTSA complaint #11432532, filed 2021-09

“The Stability Control System engages on low speed left turns when it is not required. It does not engage on right turns at similar speed and sharpness of corner. Power is cut to the rear wheel and the right brake engages, causing a wobble , unsteady, and jumping sensation. This creates unease and the sense of losing control. I've been told this is a common problem that the YAW sensor and sas system is faulting. please get this fixed as it is dangerous.”

NHTSA complaint #11546444, filed 2023-09

“While driving at speeds around or above 20 mph when turning left the ABS or braking system begins activating causing a very serious hazard. This does not happen at any speeds when turning right. This has been reported by numerous Ryker owners. I have brought it into the shop and they are not able to locate or resolve the issue. This is an extremely dangerous situation as the biker will lose control at high speeds and potential force the driver off road or into another lane. This happens all the time and is constantly happening.”
