“ABS intermittingly engaging when taking left corners. I have almost crashed twice now as the brakes are unexpectedly locking up while taking a mild curve at 35 mph. I have had the SAS reset once already and I am still having this problem.”

“When making left turns the rear wheel feels like it wobbles then the other day when making a left turn from a stop the right front wheel felt like the brakes where engaging then a little farther down the road making another left turn and the right front brake engauged again and a vss fault occured anf the bike went into limp home mode when I check the codes I get c006c and c0063 which is a yaw sensonsor and a steering sensor. “I have a 2021 Can Am Ryker Rally. At approximately 3,000 miles I noted that when in a left turn the rear tire beings to wobble back and forth. During this time the throttle becomes unresponsive and reduces power. Example, I can be in a gradual left turn going 40 PMH and when the wobble begins, it will drop the speed to around 25 MPH. When I come out of the turn, power returns and the bike return to normal. During this transition, you have to be ready for this as it can be very unexpected as you are fighting the handlebars to go left. During each event I don’t get a fault code. …”

NHTSA complaint #11488776, filed 2022-10

“BRP's Vehicle Stability System (VSS) engages randomly on left turns, cutting engine power, applying braking, and temporary stalling around curves at normal driving speeds. This situation is a serious driving hazard as may suddenly jerk erratically, causing temporary loss of control of vehicile. This has happened on several occassions, and is a known problem to BRP. …”

NHTSA complaint #11474724, filed 2022-07

“The contact owns a 2021 Can-Am Ryker. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed with the brake pedal depressed all the way to the floorboard, the vehicle failed to come to a complete stop. After adding extreme force on the brake pedal the vehicle stopped as intended. After restarting the vehicle, the vehicle seemed to return to normal functionality; however, the failure recurred. As a result of the failure, the vehicle collided with a parking barrier, causing damage to the undercarriage. No warning lights were illuminated. …”
