“I was riding my Ryker 900 as I approach the traffic light the handlebar started to move forward, I pulled into a gas station to lock it in place but it wouldn't lock, in order to drive home I had to grip the handlebars tight pull towards my body to keep it steady.”
NHTSA complaint #11482368, filed 2022-09“Three months old 4,500 miles. Back road riding. At 40-45 mph left/right turns at times feels like the rear tire collapsing and skipping. Same turn at 60-80 nada rides fine. Rust leaking from muffler. Brp told dealer it’s bad gas…… I’ve now reported this to Brp and dealer and my bike does not fall within there known issue vins….. Consumer stated manufacture will not warranty engine and vehicle. Dealer has stated unless engine is fixed he would not repair the vehicle.”
NHTSA complaint #11432544, filed 2021-09“i was told that my ryker was safe to drive in to have the recall work completed and then my vehichle quit working because of the damage to the vehichle. i dont understand why the burdan to have my vehichle repaired is on me. I was told that thier roadside assistance would only cover a small percentage of the cost to have the vehichle towed and i would owe $745 just to get my vehichle to the dealer. If there is a known risk for the vehichle part to malfunction and lose power and not be able to start, then how is this considered safe to drive 100+ miles to the nearest dealer? …”
NHTSA complaint #11499919, filed 2023-01“When taking left turns either at slow or highway speeds, the left front brake grabs as though the abs is kicking on, making it hard to steer and potentially losing control. The dealer says they were not able to duplicate the problem. My wife's 2020 Ryker Rally does the same thing. The dealer says the same thing about hers, no issue.”
