NHTSA complaint #10053585, filed 2004-01, 93,000 miles“Heard a loud clunking noice in front end mostlly when braking. Took it to 2 Chevrolet dealers several times. They said they could not find anything. Vehicle was also unstable on road. I took the vehicle to my local independent mechanic for brakes and he did a routine check and found ball joints extremly worn. Dealerships should have found this problem. They said they checked the brakes. I do not believe these should have worn so quickly.”
NHTSA complaint #700213, filed 1998-10“Driving 60mph when vehicle stalled out or died. Had to take to dealer & mechanic replaced fuel pump. Problem had reoccurred since 3/6/98 when pump was replaced. Also, steering wheel would lock up. Problem happened after fuel pump was replaced.”
