Example complaints

Selected from NHTSA records; personal details are removed. They are consumer reports, not findings.

“My engine coolant temperature sensor failed. Replaced it and still not fixing the issue. This takes my steering assist away as they are all interlinked? I have seen on forms this is a common issue. This has the potential to blow up my engine, I’m not sure how this is not a recall with so many 2020-2026 blazer owners having the same issue.”

NHTSA complaint #11732623, filed 2026-04

“My infotainment system has completely blacked out. I have no navigation, no rear view camera or warning signals. I have no phone and no SOS 🆘 emergency calls. I have no music no lane merging alerts. My charging station does not work in the front of the vehicle.”

NHTSA complaint #11755679, filed 2026-08

“Unknown…. Cut open my shin (leg) on the bottom corner of my driver’s door (black plastic side molding). That part is sharp! Required ER with 14 stitches on 9-24-25. As of today I’m still recovering.”

NHTSA complaint #11699650, filed 2025-11

“When shutting off the car, the fan continued to run. I started the car up again to see if this would allow the fan to turn off. No luck. The steering assist was dis-enabled on the dash. I took my car to the dealer to find out that it has a bad thermostat and that my radiator was leaking. The thermostat was covered but I had to use my extended warranty to pay the additional repair. My deductible for my extended warranty is $300.00. My daughter has a 2021 Chevy Blazer and the same situation happened. There was a recall and all her parts were covered.”

NHTSA complaint #11719873, filed 2026-02

“The lift gate on my vehicle closed suddenly and for no apparent reason as I was loading groceries into the vehicle. The lift gate hit me in the back of the head and did NOT retract/open upon contact. I had to quickly lift the lift gate with both hands to get out of the way and press the button for the lift gate to open. A couple of minutes later, the lift gate again closed suddenly and for no apparent reason; however, I was not hurt the second time and was able to move out of the way and press the button to stop/open the lift gate.”
