“I went to turn the car on and it wouldn't start. As I tried to take the key out of the ignition it locked itself in and have not been able to remove it.I was going to attempt the car jump but I couldn't put the car in neutral to move it to a position to get a jump because the gear shift is also locked. It is impossible to move this car as is.”

“Takata recall. My car was turned on for about 5 minutes and I was driving to my inlaws 2 miles away to pick my children up when I started smelling smoke about 1/2 mile into my ride. My car quickly filled up with smoke and I pulled into a random driveway. Flames started in the trunk. I had the A/C on and used my turn signals. Put my driver side window down.”

NHTSA complaint #10904598, filed 2016-09, 99,550 miles

“There are a lot of recalls on these vehicles right now, everytime I call to see if mine is recalled for ignition trouble they say no. I want mine replaced, at GM's expense. We just had the blinker switch replaced and there are times the ignition seems stuck. How can we know if there is a recall when we purchased used?”

NHTSA complaint #10566237, filed 2014-02, 95,000 miles

“Fuel gauges go crazy, the gas acceleration and speed gauges sometimes do not work and if the do they go up and down. All the lights I my dashboard light up as well. This usually happens when you turn on the car but it is not constant. It will sometimes happen two weeks in a row, but sometimes after two weeks. The gas tank is also leaking and the left speaker goes out sometimes. Once in a while my keys will get stuck in the ignition.”
