“2-3 weeks ago I got in my car to go somewhere. From the time I pulled out of my driveway my car was in limp mode. At the same time my check engine light, air bag light, power steering light, service traction light and theft light all came on. I got my car back to the house and when I shut it off it would not start back. I hooked it up to the obd2 scanner and the codes that came back were p1682( faulty ignition switch) and code u0101(transmission control module).”

NHTSA complaint #11354020, filed 2020-09, 154,000 miles

“The power steering light came on when I was driving my vehicle on the highway. The speedometer stoped working, my car wouldn't shift past first gear. My door locks started locking and unlocking uncontrollably by themselves. My steering wheel was harder to turn. I immediately got off the highway and chose a safer route to return home. I have a 1 year old daughter who is always with my wherever I go. I've researched and found the same issues with the same make year and model car.”

NHTSA complaint #10966728, filed 2017-03, 130,000 miles

“Automatic 2007 Chevrolet Cobalt. Gm sent me a letter about the power steering recall. Went to dealership to get the problem fixed september 1, 2010. September 24, 2010 I was involved in a car accident where my Cobalt hydroplaned and completely lost control as described in the investigations done by GM, on this issue.”

NHTSA complaint #10361660, filed 2010-10, 47,000 miles

“While driving down the road my power steering light flashed and suddenly I could barely turn the wheel I was able to get to a gas station and my car is currently being repaired but thousands of other people have had the same problem with this car which was easy to see with just a little research online.”

NHTSA complaint #10265355, filed 2009-04, 21,656 miles

“I would be driving down the highway and the car's dials would not work then start bouncing around. Then the power steering message would read out, I would loose power steering. If I slowed down it would take more of an effort to get the car up to speed and the car would jump in to gears hard. It wouldn't shift smooth. None of the gauges would work, and if the A/C was on it wouldn't work. When it started back working, the engine lock light would stay on. And the car wouldn't shift in and out of gear with out jerking.”
