“I was driving on the highway and noticed my cruise control wouldn't come on. I figured it was a fuse and would get to it after work. When I pulled into work a coworker who was behind me told me I had no brake lights. Checked all fuses, all were fine. Took the truck to a Chevrolet dealership and was told the brake switch and/or wires had burnt up and needed to be replaced. I paid over $500 for the repair. Later found out there was a recall for this incident, but it did not cover my VIN. …”

I didn't know my brake lights were not working until I had to slow down for a car in front of me and a car behind me almost hit me. It wasn't until I got off the expressway and a man told me my brake lights were not working. I checked the fuses and they are all in working order. I called my local dealership and the told me that my 2007 chevy Colorado was not part of the recall even though there was a recall for this sort of problem. …”
