“Driving down the highway and my lowbeam lights went off my highbeams and fog lights continued to work. The next day I cut my lights on they worked for a short time but went out again. This may have been over a period of time but I just noticed recently I have rode down the highway and everything looked dark and I turned my fog lights on to compensate for the darkness.”

NHTSA complaint #10583367, filed 2014-04, 106,234 miles

“I rarely drive my Corvette at night, but on at least two occasions one of my low beam headlight bulbs has failed to operate. The high beam bulbs will operate. After the first incident I replaced the low beam bulbs. After the second failure I checked the low beam bulbs the following morning and they both worked.”

NHTSA complaint #10512093, filed 2013-05, 21,333 miles

“I was driving down the road and the headlights just quit. This time I had high beams but no low beams. The next time I drove the car I had no low or high beams. The last time I drove the car both lights worked as I started the car but stopped working within about 2 minutes.”

NHTSA complaint #10616236, filed 2014-07, 139,562 miles

“I was traveling at 55 miles per hour when the low beams suddenly turned off. I had to pull over to emergenc y lane to figure out the problem. I had been driving for about 20 minutes. I had to use high beam to get home. Lights resumed next morning. This is an ongoing issue.”

NHTSA complaint #10630259, filed 2014-09, 104,100 miles

“Driving at night on my way home, my low beams headlights when out. High beams still worked, so when I got home started checking the fuses and relays but they were all good, after 2 hours I restarted the car and low beams were working fine, left the car running for 20 minutes and headlights when out again. Appears to be a heating problem at the fuse box. I believe this is a safety issue that GM needs to fix.”
