“My 2005 Chevrolet Corvette is having the same issues listed in campaign 10v172000 on 04/26/2010. Yet when I enter my VIN number it says no recalls. The service active handling system message appears with loss of the feature and loss of brakes lights. The brakes lights come on spontaneously while driving and turn off when the brakes are actually applied. Obviously a dangerous situation. 02”

NHTSA complaint #11173604, filed 2019-02, 77,000 miles

“I am driving at night all of a sudden my lights go out and will not come back on..... Come to find out the fuse box gets to hot and the wires inside are affected causing it to fail the dealer says its not under warranty and I think this should be a recall.this almost caused me to crash into someone. If I did get hurt because of this I would file a law suit.”

NHTSA complaint #10596502, filed 2014-06, 89,125 miles

“I was driving at night then all of a sudden my low beam headlights both shut off at the same time. My fog lights and high beams still worked. Gladly there was no one around, but this was extremely dangerous. I headed home immediately intermittently putting my high beams on. Someone is going to get injured in the future if this is not addressed by GM.”

NHTSA complaint #10511467, filed 2013-05, 64,000 miles

“While driving home tonight (a 20 minute drive)the headlights turned off by themselves. We tried turning off the car and restarting and also checked the fuse, neither fixed the problem. This is a safety issue and we are not the only one with the problem hopefully this complaint will help in getting the problem fixed.”

NHTSA complaint #10572598, filed 2014-03, 97,500 miles

“I was driving home at night on a very dark road and all of the sudden without any warning both headlights just turn off completely on their own at the same time, I tried to pull over on the side of the street not realizing a person was walking their dog I would have hit him if he didn't move out of my way, I didn't even know he was there until I got out of the car.”
