“I noticed one day while driving that my engine was running very hot. When I arrived to my destination, I popped the hood and discovered extremely low coolant level. Also noticed fluid leaking from under my car. I took it to a local shop to be evaluated. It was determined that I needed to replace my water pump & thermostat. I am only at 41,000 miles.”
NHTSA complaint #11278732, filed 2019-11, 41,000 miles“The check stabilitrak light and engine light comes on it loses engine power wont go over 3mph . It has happened while driving down the road at 55mph on a busy hwy. Also my radio screen that controls the backup camera and other settings has went black. I had a mechanic run diagnostics on it and 33 different codes popped up so they told me more than likely it's an ECM issue and it has to be repaired at the dealership”
NHTSA complaint #11394977, filed 2021-02, 83,195 miles“Our 2015 Chevrolet Cruze started idling at high rpms, had trouble shifting and the check engine light came on. We took it in and was told couldn't find the problem so they reset the code. It started again after about two weeks so we took it to an independent mechanic shop. They said it was the pcv valve and that they have seen a lot of Cruze' with this problem.”
NHTSA complaint #11019569, filed 2017-08, 62,000 miles“I had stopped at the store. When I came out and started my car. It instantly made a loud whistling noise. I opened the hood nothing obvious. When left I pulled out on the main highway and it stalled. Problem was the pcv valve in the intake manifold causing several other major issues after the failure”
NHTSA complaint #11220493, filed 2019-06, 93,000 miles“My car started shaking, smoking and licking while driving. At first in the dealer told I won't be able to drive the car like that. Now after 3 days without answer they wants to take the car without fixing the car. I'm scare to drive a car that is shaking. I'm very concerned about my life safety”
