“The headrests on this car push my head so far forward that I have terrible pain while driving. I also cannot see where I am going due to the extreme angle of my head jutting forward. Not too safe--any reasonable person can figure this out. In addition, the car is burning excessive oil. Also, when trying to accelerate after slowing down in heavy traffic, it bogs. Again, not very safe. This car is a piece of crap--never again will I get a Chevrolet. This happens all the time!!”

NHTSA complaint #10859948, filed 2016-04, 5,000 miles

“The drivers seat power adjuster came unscrewed and the seat dropped down. There is a recall on this issue, but this vehicle is not included in the recall. I have fixed the issue twice now since december 2014. I have pictures.”

“I received a recall notice in september 2014... Gm recall 14271 after making numerous phone calls over the last 3 months to both the local chevy dealer and Chevrolet customer assistance center there is still no part available to remedy this safety issue. The only response is the parts are not available and we have no idea when they will be in.”

NHTSA complaint #10664517, filed 2014-12

“The contact owns a 2011 Chevrolet Equinox. The contact stated when entering the vehicle and sitting on the driver's seat, the seat dropped impairing the contact's access to visibility and ability to steer safely. The contact had not taken the vehicle to a local dealer or independent mechanic to have the vehicle diagnosed. The vehicle had not been repaired. The contact researched online and related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 14V447000 (Seats). The manufacturer had been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 150,000.”

“The contact owns a 2011 Chevrolet Equinox. The contact started the ignition and noticed that the front passenger air bag warning indicator turned off while a pillow was positioned in the front passenger seat. The failure occurred whenever the vehicle was in operation. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer where they informed that the air bag functioned correctly as designed. The failure mileage was 800. Updated 3/14/11 the dealer suspected the seat was heat sensitive. Updated 04/25/11”
