“When setting down in my car the set close up on you I have to stop and push the button on the side of the seat this happens most of the time I get into my car”
NHTSA complaint #11138854, filed 2018-10, 40,000 miles“I drive my car everyday. It has seat heaters in the front seats. I have cloth seats. I was noticing that whenever I turned my seat warmer on, it was getting really hot in one specific place and made my leg burn. One day, I looked at my leg after I got out and there was a small burn on my leg. I looked at the seat and there was a small burn mark/ hole through my seat. I do not turn the heaters on anymore, obviously. However, sometimes it comes on on its own and gets super hot and I can't turn it off. So, I had to start driving with a blanket under me so I didn't get burned. …”
NHTSA complaint #11171738, filed 2019-01, 73,000 miles“Design flaw between the pedals and the seat have caused me to have sciatic pain. I had the car just short of 2 years because I couldn't take the pain anymore. The distance between the pedals both vertically and horizontally are a problem. I only related the problem to the car when I was not driving the car for a three week period, my pain was gone. I started driving the car again and the pain returned. I tested it again, by renting a different vehicle for a 5 day period and the pain went away again and a day after resuming driving my Equinox the pain returned. …”
