“The windshield wipers stopped working on my 2015 Equinox that has less than 55,000 miles. Appears to be the wiper motor and not just a fuse. I got in my car to leave the store on a rainy night, turned on the wipers and heard a pop or a click and they stopped where they were and I can now move them freely with my hand but they will not go with the controls.”

NHTSA complaint #11407376, filed 2021-04, 55,000 miles

“The bushings on the stabilizer bar pop off cause the wipers to stop working. But can move by had. In the last week I have had to have them put back on. And the parts that it calls for doesn't work very long. They are not snugg enough. They stopped working during the rain we have had and the 1st time I was on the interstate in middle of thunder storm.”

NHTSA complaint #11352205, filed 2020-08, 114,000 miles

“I received a notice from GM on my 2015 Chevrolet Equinox on 2/6/20 stating that there may be a condition where a link ball socket in the wiper transmission may separate. If this were to occur, the driver would experience a sudden loss of wiper function! After talking with GM and the dealer, was told this does not constitute a recall. I strongly disagree!”

NHTSA complaint #11307520, filed 2020-02, 26,000 miles

“When I was driving down the interstate it started to pour down rain, I turned my wipers on full speed and the wiper stopped in the middle of the window and would not activate. Vehicle was in motion on an interstate almost causing me to wreck due to not being able to see other traffic. Will be bringing the car to the dealership for service.”

NHTSA complaint #11338093, filed 2020-07, 95,000 miles

“On may 31, 2019 while driving in a heavy rain storm my wipers suddenly stopped in the upmost position causing zero visability on a busy road. After getting safely off the road I tried moving the wiper blades and can hear clunking when they move. The linkage has separated at the bushing. This is a very dangerous defect that needs to be resolved by GM.”

NHTSA complaint #11217132, filed 2019-05, 78,489 miles
