“On october 19, 2009, I purchased a Chevrolet Equinox 2007. At the time of purchase I noticed condensation in the passenger side front headlight lens and I was told by the salesman at the time that it would burn off if I kept the lights on. Since that time both driver and passenger headlights have developed the condensation issue. The condensation does not burn off just keeps accumulating to the point where the headlight bulb would just burn out. …”

NHTSA complaint #10701623, filed 2015-03, 25,779 miles

“Heater is blowing cold air only. Unable to defrost front windshield. This is very hazardous, as my winter driving visibility is limited. Suspect air blender door failure. This problem was addressed by TSB 11135 (may 30, 2012); however it only applies to 2006 chevy Equinox. My car is a 2007 chevy Equinox. I spoke with GM and they confirmed the TSB was only for the 2006 model year. My research leads me to believe that the 2007 model year should also be included. My heater parts might be from late model 2006.”

NHTSA complaint #10557461, filed 2013-12, 115,000 miles

“At 57,000 miles the windshield wipers stopped working on my 2007 Equinox right in the middle of a rain storm. I have been told GM is aware of the problem but no recall. This is an expensive repair. I would like some assistance from GM on the repair.”

NHTSA complaint #10278983, filed 2009-07, 57,802 miles

“A started to smell antifreeze inside the car. Checked coolant level and it was good. Last night started the car in 40 degree weather, and the windows in the whole car would not defog. No visibility to drive. This is a major safety issue. Heater core and/or broken air blend door and actuator problem.”

NHTSA complaint #10369204, filed 2010-12, 85,300 miles

“I have no heat. The fan blows but only cold air. This is a known defect in Equinox and torrent models with repair costs of over $1,000.00. Why isn't GM taking responsibiity for their failures?”

NHTSA complaint #10818827, filed 2016-01, 148,000 miles
