“When I turn the vehicle off, the ignition key stays stuck. Even if I turn it back and forth it does not come out, I have to wait about two minutes before I can take it out. Sometimes, if I move the key extremely fast, I am able to take it out on the first try. I have seen this complaint on this vehicle before but there is still no recall.”

NHTSA complaint #10596285, filed 2014-06, 65,000 miles

“The ignition key would get stuck in the ignition. The only way I could get it out would be to repeatadly shift from park to drive or reverse until the key was released. I took it to my local chevy dealer for repair. It cost $544 to get it fixed. I have heard of others having the same issue.”

NHTSA complaint #10615940, filed 2014-07, 85,000 miles

“When I put my vehicle in park and try to turn off my car, the key gets stuck in the ignition more often than not. I then have to turn it on, back up, pull forward, and turn it off again to see if it will let me take the key out. Sometimes I have to do this 5-6 times!”

NHTSA complaint #10607919, filed 2014-07, 84 miles

“On october 19, 2009, I purchased a Chevrolet Equinox 2007. At the time of purchase I noticed condensation in the passenger side front headlight lens and I was told by the salesman at the time that it would burn off if I kept the lights on. Since that time both driver and passenger headlights have developed the condensation issue. The condensation does not burn off just keeps accumulating to the point where the headlight bulb would just burn out. …”

NHTSA complaint #10701623, filed 2015-03, 25,779 miles

“The speedometer on my 2007 chevy Equinox started going crazy. I'm driving down the road at 30 MPH but the speedometer says I'm doing 60 MPH. When I'm on the highway doing 55 MPH, it bounces between 90 to 120 MPH. I've even been parked in the driveway doing 120 MPH. Something is seriously wrong. I've found out about numerous other complaints with other chevy's doing the same thing but chevy doesn't want to include the Equinox. I want to know what my next step is going to be.”
