“My vehicle had turned off while driving it sputtered a bit the shut off.. I started it back up then I drove home and took it to the dealership the following day. No check engine lights or anything ever popped up to giving any warning. Dealership said it was a solenoid idk if I spelled that right. I hope its the problem”
NHTSA complaint #11321680, filed 2020-04, 102,286 miles“My transmission has gone out causing my car to stall and not accelerate four times since I purchased the vehicle. Also the entire computer system just shut down and my vehicle would not start. Windshield wipers fly off frequently. My transmission issue has happened on major freeways three times now causing me to stall and sit on the side of freeway until tow truck became available.”
NHTSA complaint #11309250, filed 2020-02, 92,000 miles“Car continually runs my battery down. Radio malfunctions, seatbelt alarms go off. Car will start at home and I travel somewhere it won't start just clicking. I'll be driving by myself and seatbelt alarm goes off. One evening my while parked in the parking spot the lights kept turning off and on I thought someone had broken into my car and was playing with the lights. The car is a 2015 with only 58k miles.”
NHTSA complaint #11352772, filed 2020-09, 48,000 miles“Although my Equinox is just a year old I'm having problems with the stabili-trak and power steering. The service light for both of these keeps coming on and both keep going out while I drive which is extremely dangerous. Also my electronic panel keeps going out. I know these must be a manufactory defect but I'm getting no where with them. Please help!”
NHTSA complaint #10906099, filed 2016-09, 35,000 miles“Wipers stopped working while driving in the rain on the evening of the 26th of october 2018. Fuses have been checked and though good replaced. There is a hum when you turn the wipers on. This only applies to the front wipers, the rear works fine. Dangerous as it was almost dark and I had to drive home slowly and out the car in the garage. Seems this is a recurrent problem with the Equinox as I found out in research. When is something going to be done about this? Before or after a fatality?”
