NHTSA complaint #11747460, filed 2026-06

“My 2024 Equinox was returned to the dealership on approximately October 1, 2025, due to a check engine light related to the torque converter. I required a rental vehicle during this time. I picked up my vehicle on October 10, 2025, and all repairs were covered under my extended warranty. I was informed that my rental reimbursement would be issued once I submitted the required paperwork. …”

NHTSA complaint #11700867, filed 2025-11

“The transmission lurches and shakes violently when under pressure such as times when trying to accelerate onto a highway. I recently was traveling and had to enter numerous highways and each time the transmission was extremely jerky and I felt it may fall out of the car at some points. Once I was trying to get on to the highway and a tractor trailer was coming up behind me and I literally have to pull off to the right because the car would not accelerate and was jerking violently. …”

NHTSA complaint #11746617, filed 2026-06

“As I was parked with the car running, my 2024 Equinox suddenly shut down and the check engine light came on. I tried to start it, but it didn’t. Someone tried to jump the battery, thinking it was that, but it wasn’t. I had it towed to the dealership and after 2 days they said the Fuel Pump Power Control Module needed to be replaced. Unfortunately, GM did not have the part, but the dealership found one in another state and we had to wait several days for it to be mailed to them. …”

NHTSA complaint #11699291, filed 2025-11

“To Whom It May Concern, I am writing to formally report a serious and recurring safety issue with my 2024 Chevrolet Equinox, and to request immediate investigation and resolution. The vehicle has, on multiple occasions, unexpectedly gone into “reduced power” mode (also referred to as “limp mode”), drastically limiting acceleration while driving at full speed in traffic. This most recently occurred while my teenage daughter was behind the wheel, causing the car to completely shut off in the middle of the street. …”
