“While driving 65mph on highway 526 in sc, our 2008 chevy Impala experienced reduced engine power and a traction control error message appeared on the dash. The vehicle lost engine power and my wife, daughter and I were almost rear ended . We have now spent hundreds of dollars trying to repair the issue but with no solution in sight.”

NHTSA complaint #10667232, filed 2014-12, 101,205 miles

“2008 Impala ss: often when I try to accelerate from a stop the car feels sluggish and does not accelerate. I talked to a mechanic and this is a common defect with these vehicles. I figured by now there would have been a recall since this is so common, but I suppose there have to fatalities and lawsuits in order for the manufacture to step in.”
