“I was driving on the interstate and the dash lit up service traction system and engine power reduced. I was currently using cruise control so it shocked me when my car went from 75 to 40 quick. I was in five o'clock traffic and almost rear ended. Check engine light came on as well. I'm planning on getting it looked at.”
NHTSA complaint #11390726, filed 2021-01, 160,000 miles“During the summer months when the outside temperatures are high my backdoor locks will not unlock. The inside levers that pull up to unlock from inside are located at the farthest place away so I can't reach them from the front doors to unlock them that way. A small child in a car seat, someone unconscious or a pet could easily become trapped inside this vehicle. This happens if the car is running or not.”
NHTSA complaint #11218220, filed 2019-06, 133,715 miles“A mechanic had to replace the ignition lock solenoid. The key got stuck in the ignition and it could not be removed until it was repaired. I am requesting reimbursement from my repair. There was a recall issued on june 20, 2014 for an unintended ignition key rotation apparently this was the cause of the problem I had in 2013 therefore I would like reimbursement”
NHTSA complaint #10884030, filed 2016-07, 64,748 miles“In coming down a mountain the car trembles almost uncontrollably. I have had the rotars smoothed out last year and now I have the same problem again. My nephews wife has the same problem with her Impala and also my sister in law who also has an Impala. What can be done to fix this problem?”
NHTSA complaint #10994465, filed 2017-06, 83,000 miles“The service traction control light comes on and the engine power reduced message appears. The entire car shuts down and you can not accelerate. I was on the freeway and could have been hit from behind. I immediately put on my hazard lights and pulled off to the side of the road. This was the first time, happened again this month(march). Taking to chevy dealer for a diagnosis.”
