“A front tire developed a bubble protruding from a sidewall crack on the inside of my goodyear ls-2 tire. A second ls-2 failed from a similar sidewall crack at just over 30,000 miles. My 3rd ls-2 is currently failing on the interior sidewall with about 48,000 miles on the car. The tread was good on all tires replaced.”
NHTSA complaint #10549035, filed 2013-10, 21,000 miles“My car prematurely wears front tires out. By 4200 miles, my front tires were showing the cords. I had own a 2008 Impala (same model) and at 4000 miles the front tires were bald. This has been constant with this vehicle and the previous vehicle. The dealer has aligned this vehicle and states that there is no problem!! If I wasn't aware of this, my tires would blow out!!!!!”
NHTSA complaint #10332574, filed 2010-05, 4,283 miles“My car would shimmy as if the tie rod was going bad, and the tire in question would be flat nearly every morning. After a couple of days I made it to hartington, ne to the nearest Chevrolet dealer. Upon inspection they told me that I was very lucky to have made it there because the belts separated on the inside of the tire where I would have never seen what was happening. Both front tires were replaced at great expense. I now have hankook tires and will never again buy goodyear tires after this incident.”
NHTSA complaint #10592919, filed 2014-05, 49,000 miles“After getting new brakes put on my car, the low tire pressure light would come on for different tires. It was random and after checking the tire pressure they were all fine. The light is on all the time and when I check my tire pressure on the dash panel they all four read 0 tire pressure. I have to check them manually which sounds petty but I paid for this option I should be able to use it. My remote car starter doesn't work because this error message is on. I've had it reset and it comes right back on. …”
NHTSA complaint #10557382, filed 2013-12, 98,000 miles“Front tires have excessive wear on the inside and outside of the tires only. Original goodyear integrity tires are still on the car. Rear tires are fine and look normal . After reading about other issues like this it makes me believe there is some sort of issue with the alignment of the car. I am concerned about the safety of my vehicle. It will not pass inspection as it is. I will have to replace the tires because there is no tread on them except for in the middle of the tires which is really odd. Not sure how many people have this problem. …”
