Selected from NHTSA records; personal details are removed. They are consumer reports, not findings.

“When turning the steering wheel all the way to the left and accelerating the ABS activates and the ABS light momentarily comes on. I jacked up the front of the car to investigate and found that I could create the error by jiggling the wire to the ABS sending unit. Google the error and notice dozens of others with the same issue.”

NHTSA complaint #11403027, filed 2021-03, 110,000 miles

“In motion on city street going about 45 when vehicle in front of me was in motion to make a right turn and came to an abrut stop. I hit my brakes and my car did not stop and I had my foot on brake pushed all the way to floor and car continued almost like it slid into the impact/collision. His car was not damaged but attached is the damage to my car.”

NHTSA complaint #10863295, filed 2016-05, 3,500 miles

“Went to pick my daughter up from school. Came back and parked my car as usual. When I attempted to restart my car the engine ruled up and the car would barely move. Upon further investigation, I observed the vehicle motor notification light on as well as the parking brake notification with a tool ( wrench) underneath. I attempted to disengage the brake and it said the brakes have been released. However, the brake notification signal is still flashing and the vehicle seems to be driving like the brakes are still engaged.”

NHTSA complaint #11412774, filed 2021-04, 104,000 miles

“Left rear brake caliper fell off after 38329 miles. I was driving down a street and applied the brakes. Pedal went to the floor. I was able to get stopped by pumping the brakes!!”

NHTSA complaint #11353971, filed 2020-09, 38,329 miles

“Whenever I turn the steering wheel to the left, the stabilitrack and ABS dashboard lights come on and the read-out panel says both systems need service and these lights stay on and the systems shut-off making the vehicle less safe. I should point out that the lights come on when the pavement is drive and its warm out. Why is this happening to the relatively new car with barely 50,000 miles. The car is designed to be driven with the stabilitrack and ABS systems working properly. I've looking into this on-line and it appears many people with Impala's are experiencing the same issue. …”
