“Driving with 4 in the car at around 65 MPH went to stop and the wheel started to shake from the rotors warping. Went to the dealer and told them and they told me to shift too 2nd gear. Nowhere in the book have I seen this and is a bad answer if this is the case. This happened a few years ago and still happens on a 4 wheel disk brake vehicle.”

NHTSA complaint #10606574, filed 2014-06, 12,000 miles

“The first instance I was driving and the service brake system flashed on the display. I had all brake pads replaced at dealer on 1/3/2013. 2/7/2013 I was in traffic and the car suddenly slows to about 10 MPH and would not accelerate the dash then displayed reduced engine power and the check engine light came on. On 2/14/2013, I had the throttle positioning sensor replaced and at the same time had the rear defrost wiring repaired because that had not been working for over a year. …”

NHTSA complaint #10502056, filed 2013-03, 63,000 miles

“I was traveling on the interstate at about 60 MPH going uphill. I did not have it in cruise control. Iwas passing a semi. Suddenly the steering became very difficult, and the brakes seemed hard to push. I finally managed to get the car off the road and stopped. I put in park and got out to check and see if one of the tires had blown out, I left it running. The tires were fine. I got back in and put it in gear and eased down on the gas to see how it was going to go. It did fine, I drove it the rest of the day and it seemed to be normal. …”

NHTSA complaint #10891999, filed 2016-08, 74,700 miles

“I have not had an incidence but very concerned about the malfunction that is going on with my vehicle at this time..I noticed a scrubbing/grumbling noise when I would turn the wheel either way left or right. …”

NHTSA complaint #10472531, filed 2012-08, 55,636 miles

“I was approaching a red light where a flat bed truck was stopped and I went to stop behind him. At first the car started to slow when I pressed the brake and then as if I took my foot off the pedal the car stopped stopping and crashed into the back of the tow truck. This was not the first time nor the last time this happened but it was the worst time and I am afraid to drive the car now. I see the number of posts on the internet, hundreds of forums, complaining about the wobbling or vibration that occurs upon breaking. …”
