“Takata recall. I pulled out of my driveway and realized I had forgotten my purse and when I tried to back up to get my purse, the car would not move. I was in the middle of the road and almost got struck by another vehicle. A few men came to help push the car out of the road. After checking a few rhings, they told me that my transmission had gone out.”

NHTSA complaint #11173032, filed 2019-01, 80,000 miles

“This all started when the factory battery went dead so I went and purchased a new one about a week after I went out one morning to leave for work and it wouldn't start had to be jumped. So later on I checked for a drain on the battery and found out that the radio the interior lights and the display where causing a drain. …”

NHTSA complaint #10726426, filed 2015-06, 167,945 miles

“The shift gear has become stuck in park twice. The shifter will not move. I had to have it towed to the mechanic twice in order for the vehicle to become operable again. The shop replaced some wiring and mechanics inside the shift area. Since they have replaced it twice, along with the original parts, I am on the third round.”

NHTSA complaint #10628977, filed 2014-08, 90,000 miles

“As I was driving the engine light came on and the display read reduced engine power. The car slowed down and resisted as I accelerated. I can only drive about 20 miles per hour. There is no warning and there is a decrease in acceleration. There was no warning and I have my child in the car. This is very dangerous.”

NHTSA complaint #10492932, filed 2013-01, 123,000 miles

“Reduced engine power/ traction control warning/ gas line fuel leak. This car flashed a reduced engine power message while I was going 65 MPH straight away on busy city (in houston) freeway and the traction control warning light came on. My car then immediately reduced speed and would not go beyond 40 MPH. I was told that the gas line fuel leak has nothing to do with it but it seems very coincidental that this all happened in the same day. …”
