“When turned car on wipers did not work, they would intermittently come on and work before they completely stopped working and do not turn on at all. Changed the wiper motor and the wiper switch and they still do not work. I currently do not have working wipers on my car. Pep boys was unable to diagnose a problem.”
NHTSA complaint #11072865, filed 2018-02, 116,000 miles“I had numerous problems with this vehicle (almost through my third set of tires, oxygen sensor going at 46,000 miles, rust beginning at 38,000 miles {car was two years old}, and the battery going prematurely). Last week, I attempted to put on my rear defogger. The light came on, but my rear windshield was still fogged up. The defroster also does not blow cold air if the car is in park.”
NHTSA complaint #10424655, filed 2011-09, 74,769 miles“The rear defogger does not work. Nothing happened, it just quit working. When you push the rear defogger button on the front panel, the light lights up showing it is working, but it isn't working on the rear window. It is hazardous because you can't see out of the rear window with frost and even snow built up on it while driving. I find this a big big problem when I cant go far snow builds up to fast. One other time the wipers stopped for no reason in the middle of my view. …”
NHTSA complaint #10368667, filed 2010-12, 61,000 miles“1) new 2007 chevy Impala picked up 12/4/2006 with 6 miles on it. Heater worked when picked up. 2) drove car 12/5/2006 about 30 miles and heater did not work on freeway nor did fan, vents, AC, or heat. 3) problem not resolved yet. The next time I started the car after my 30 mile trip the heater came on when the ignition was started and the problem has not been seen again. I dropped it at a chevy dealer to evaluate.”
NHTSA complaint #10175266, filed 2006-12, 61 miles“Modern vehicle design has increased occupant safety in event of an accident. The other side of this coin is a decreased ability to avoid accidents. Blind spots caused by huge windshield posts and rear view mirrors (inside and out), headrests poking up and a seat belts that hold you in position to look straight ahead....all these contributed to our car hitting a guy-wire for a power pole. I took the car back to the scene and the guy-wire and windshield post are exactly the same angle, the guy-wire not being in the driver's field of vision. …”
