“My chevy Malibu has stopped several times on the highway more often durning traffic time it always stops when it enters auto stop then it cuts all the way off and I have to restart it I called in about this last year . Also it makes it really tough to push my breaks when I start the car up it does make the sound like it wants to start then it dies out”
NHTSA complaint #11308588, filed 2020-02, 85,000 miles“During the cold the car will not turn on, will show a stabilitrak problem and the transmission light turns on. When it is on and you drive it, it will automatically turn off and stay off at a red light or whenever you press the brake. I have two other friends who own the same car and it does the same , which makes me assume a manufacturer problem of cars not turning on in the cold/ sensor issue.”
NHTSA complaint #11289530, filed 2019-12, 35,000 miles“On friday december 29, 2017 as we were driving home we almost re-ended another vehicle in a city street at the speed of 55 MPH due to car brakes locking and hard to press down, luckily hard we were able fo brake by pushing hard enough. Also sensor have failed twice- three times in heavy traffic and will brake on their own without any car being directly in front of me which is scary and could cause a major accident on the highway. …”
NHTSA complaint #11061491, filed 2018-01, 45,000 miles“Driving and my car wouldn't stop because my stablitrak and ABS system malfunction and now the dealer is saying I need a vacuum pump and throttle change. This is a know issues in the GM cars just seen on google that a global letter was sent out aug of 2019 about this issues but I never received it. These cars should be recalled and we should be given our money back. I have 2017 chevy Malibu and I feel this premeditated murder because they know it's a issue and I could have lost my life july 30 2020 at 959pm”
NHTSA complaint #11343119, filed 2020-08, 56,735 miles“Was driving down road my 2017 malabu started slowing down on it's on I tried to stop at a stop sign and the breaks did not work car died and will not restart. Code indicates break booster car is in yard”
