“My chevy Malibu has stopped several times on the highway more often durning traffic time it always stops when it enters auto stop then it cuts all the way off and I have to restart it I called in about this last year . Also it makes it really tough to push my breaks when I start the car up it does make the sound like it wants to start then it dies out”
NHTSA complaint #11308588, filed 2020-02, 85,000 miles“As I was driving on the interstate my check engine and traction control lights flashed on. All of a sudden the engine power down light lit up and I couldn't go above 30 MPH. This has happened twice in the last week. Very scary when you are driving 60-70 MPH on the interstate.”
NHTSA complaint #11299150, filed 2020-01, 79,336 miles“I purchased the vehicle in 2018 with 20,000 miles on it. My check engine light has been on more than 7 times in the past 2 years. I had to have the fuel injector worked on, sometimes it won't shift completely into park, I had it decrease in speed from 70 on the highway to no more than 20 MPH with over $400 in repairs just that time. I do not drive fast or deprive my car of regular maintenance. I have never had issues like this with any other vehicle.”
NHTSA complaint #11404256, filed 2021-03, 60,000 miles“As I'm driving down the highway, trying to accelerate, a reduced engine power light comes on and my car will slow down to 20 MPH. I have to shut my car off to get it to accelerate. It is doing this on a regular basis now.”
