“while driving down the freeway at 80 mph, in my 2025 Chevy truck with 6000 mikes , the truck suddenly locked up, almost throwing myself and my daughter into the dash, thank goodness the semi truck behind us was paying attention of we would be dead! I was able to steer it to the shoulder of the road where I unhooked the battery hoping to reset the system to no avail. Waited on the side of the road till the tow truck got there. …”

NHTSA complaint #11728767, filed 2026-04

“Transmission warning light came on the dash saying may not be able to shift soon. I dropped of at the dealer and they said they were backed up on that department I would have to leave it there and they would diagnose in a week and let me know. Still waiting 6.2 zr2”

NHTSA complaint #11714628, filed 2026-01

“I was traveling at 65 mph when my truck engine shut off, put itself in neutral, asked me to push the start button. And then the screen went black. Would not go into neutral for a tow. Taken to dealer where I purchased it from. Was told that the motor is seized.”

NHTSA complaint #11766797, filed 2026-09

“While driving on the freeway with my family in the middle of a snowstorm, my 2025 Silverado 1500 with 8,000 miles on it, suddenly dropped gears down to 1st without warning. The check engine light went on and I later found out it was the valve body that caused it. This could have cause serious harm to my family had I not maintained control of the vehicle. The dealership fixed the problem only for it to happen again a month later. The truck is still in the shop.”

NHTSA complaint #11731273, filed 2026-04

“Leased a 2025 Chevy Silverado in late 2025. On June 13th 2026 driving home my vehicle all of a sudden had very little power, check engine light went on and thankfully I was at my driveway. Pulled into my residence, shut truck off and called the dealer I leased the truck from at 1:00 pm Satuarday, June 13th. They set me up with a loaner vehicle. I called for a tow truck Monday the June 15th and had truck delivered to dealership. Ive been told, they are looking into? Beyond that, nothing more.”
