“The truck and transmission shift very hard, slip or can't find its home. The problem is the worst between park and reverse, and 1st and 2nd gear around 20mph. I have taken it in multiple times times and told everything is operating to spec. One time I was told they were waiting for guidance from GM, but then forgot about that, and said everything is fine.”

NHTSA complaint #11186293, filed 2019-03, 75,000 miles

“When I purchased this vehicle I went to the dealership to complain about the transmission. When applying the gas, the car hesitated. I was told the car was learning and this was part of the computer system. Now that the warranty is off, it now needs a new transmission.”

“The truck was on street. Transmisionwould not engage in the. Second gear, or any gear. Turned car off. Started truck again same problem. Even in reverse. Truck was in lake arrowhead on mountain road by houses. Called flat bed tow truck. Towed back home to long beach. 200 miles!. The truck is in my drive way waiting for an transmission appointment. Strange drove around the block and had no problem. Even backed in to my driveway with no problem. So not trust truck now.”

NHTSA complaint #11387509, filed 2021-01, 1,000 miles

“On sept 21 2016 I arrived at my home. I drove up my gravel driveway in d(drive) and slowed to a stop and my truck began to roll backward under my control. I was checking on the ground for lawn damage. The truck shuttered twice, shut off and started to roll backward toward a tree. I quickly regained control with a panic stop. I was able to place the truck in park and restart the truck. I had lost control of the truck.”

NHTSA complaint #10909931, filed 2016-09, 12,400 miles

“While driving on the expressway, the drive shaft broke off. This caused the vehicle to lose control. Luckily, the vehicle was able to make it to the side shoulder without causing an accident. The dealership replaced the drive shaft and rear differential, but no one (even when I contacted GM priority care) could inform me why this happened. With me having two small kids, I am still concerned that this could happen again.”
