“Was just driving down the highway and without any warning at all my truck would not go while waiting at a stop light, it turns on and will go in drive but now it has an engine light on and has codes WITHOUT any warning while driving!!! How safe is that?! Especially when my children are in the vehicle. Not to mention its only FOUR years old”
NHTSA complaint #11768912, filed 2026-10“My Chevrolet Truck was purchased brand new with under a thousand miles on it. I was driving and the sensor went out at about 45,000 miles then the other sensor went out two days later. 15 thousand miles later my transmission went out. Was at the dealership for 6 months. Now I have the vehicle back and still isn’t driving correctly. Shifting problems”
NHTSA complaint #11658471, filed 2025-05“The Transmission has failed, it is a 2022 chevy silverado, which other vin numbers have federal recalls regarding the same issue our truck is having. The truck locks in place while driving and then gives a jolt. The manufacturer has the vehicle who we bought it from. I also have been in touch with GM regarding this issue as well.”
NHTSA complaint #11766646, filed 2026-09“I have a 22022 Refresh Silverado 1500 High Country with 12,500 miles that gets a Service Transmission warning and kills the engine leaving it in the traffic. When trying to restart the truck it just keeps flashing errors and can't be restarted for about half hour. This has happened twice to me so far. The codes recorded are in the attached file.”
NHTSA complaint #11668285, filed 2025-06“Transmission shifts hard with a hesitaion when first taking off. mostly when cold but it is unperdicable some times even when warm. Intermitate shudder at 30 to 50 mph feels like i am running over small even bumps.Could be a safety problem as it never happens at the same times, makes me drive angst and i don't like it.”
