“I bought the truck in April of 2023, a few days after I purchased it I was backing up and the review camera turned off and received an error. I went to the dealer and was told it was caused my my tow hitch. Which makes no sense since they have an option to towing. I've looked on forums online where several other owners have the same issue with the same year truck.”

“Since new, this vehicle has had two unresolved safety issues. One of which being the failure of a FMVSS 111 required system - rear vision camera. The two defects are: 1. Service 4WD warning message and inability to use 4WD in inclement weather. This has caused safety concerns for my wife and I when traveling in the winter. 2. Failure of the FMVSS 111 required rear view camera system when in reverse. The display screen goes blank with an error message intermittently when in reverse. …”

“The contact owns a 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The contact stated that while in Reverse (R), the rear-view camera displayed a blank image. Additionally, the contact stated that the infotainment center glitched. The vehicle was taken to the dealer seventeen times for the failure. The infotainment center and radio module were replaced, and eight software updates were performed; however, the failure recurred and remained persistent. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, and several cases were filed. The failure mileage was approximately 10,000.”
