“My radiator is leaking with only 48000 miles on it. There has been a recall on the model years prior to and after mine, for the same problem. A radiator should not have cracks caused from a thermostat problem in this short amount of miles. It is a slow leak and I am going to have to replace the radiator before it causes other problems or gets worse.”

NHTSA complaint #11389335, filed 2021-01, 48,000 miles

“With only 79,600 miles the engine began misfiring. We took it to 2 independent mechanics and were told the lifters needed to be replaced causing $5600 in repairs. We were followed all the recommended oil changes and maintenance. After investigating it we discovered this engine failure was known to gmc as it has effected several other gmc truck engines manufactured between 2011 and 2014.”

NHTSA complaint #11386142, filed 2021-01, 79,600 miles

“The engine has a ticking noise like a lifter out of adjustment. I'm told this is normal its a ticking fuel pump for the fuel injectors. I think GM is better than that and can figure out how to quite it down. If there engineers can't figure it GM should consider finding some that can! The next time I buy a GM product it will need to be quite if not I'll brake a family tradition for 80 years and buy another brand.”

NHTSA complaint #11096396, filed 2018-05, 75 miles

“Was driving on freeway, was changing lanes so I stepped on the gas to switch lanes and then check engine started flashing and stabilitrak active light came on. Slowed down and felt the truck with some unusual shaking, when I got off the freeway and into the street as soon as I stopped it felt like the engine wanted to shut off but it did not, truck was shaking at every stop I made. Check engine light is still on and stabilitrak active light on”

NHTSA complaint #11166692, filed 2019-01, 57,770 miles

“Air condition coil leak which is a common problem but no recall on silverado, but on tahoe. This is the same part and same issue, so why is there not a recall on the silverado? I would like credit for the $1300 replacement cost I paid.”
