“Apparently my truck already had the steering recall preformed, but I'm having the same issue still. The power steering stopped twice while driving, almost causing us to hit another vehicle. The lights will also dim almost to off while turning the steering wheel while stationary, also power steering will quick momentarily while doing this also. What do you suggest I do?”
NHTSA complaint #11308281, filed 2020-02, 77 miles“As I was driving on the street in the early morning there was a burning smell inside the cab of my 2015 Chevrolet silverado high country. Shortly after I smelled something burning my driver-side sliding back window shattered with a loud explosion.”
NHTSA complaint #11173487, filed 2019-02, 33,700 miles“I used my remote start, from the key fob, while I went inside the store. I came out of the store and had heavy smoke coming from the rear windows and defroster area. It smelled of a car fire. I immediately got into the truck and turned it off. I noticed the smoke dissipated and I started the truck to get home. The defroster was left off and I then started to drive out of the parking lot. Not even 30seconds later the window that had smoke coming from shattered. It is in my line of sight.”
NHTSA complaint #11318100, filed 2020-03, 70,000 miles“I turned on the rear defrost and the window spider web cracked. There is an open recall but my VIN number wasn't in the range so GM is refusing to cover it.”
NHTSA complaint #11301560, filed 2020-01, 55,000 miles“Burning smell in the vehicle and all of a sudden the rear window shattered. The vehicle was in motion at the time. There is a known fault with the defroster mechanism that results in a malfunction that causes the window to shatter. Same make model and year are recalled in canada but not the us.”
