“This vehicle was delivered to me in late march 2020. New smyrna beach Chevrolet sold me two faulty vehicles. The first they took back and now this second vehicles back up camera works intermittently from day one. Gm nor the dealer ship can locate the replacement part and this has been on-going for 3 months now. I do not feel safe driving a vehicle that has a faulty camera. I fear that as a result, bodily injury could result to someone else. …”
NHTSA complaint #11340017, filed 2020-07, 800 miles“Backup camera only is functional in perfect weather conditions. If it's dark with no light, the camera has resolution similar to a 1950 tube tv. If it's rainy or cloudy, the backup camera is not functional either. There are numerous yellow lines and extremely poor quality picture in many other conditions too. Chevy has not done anything to fix this issue in my truck. The visibility is so bad I hit my trailer hitch on the bumper 7' off of my hitch location. I couldn't see that my trailer was that close to me on the screen”
NHTSA complaint #11389374, filed 2021-01, 2,668 miles“While the vehicle was in operation, the drivers side mirror fell off. The is a safety risk as I was not able to use mirror to check for vehicles in blind spot or in left lane as I was driving. Not to mention, as per NYS vehicle and traffic law, vehicles have to have at least a drivers side rear view mirror while in operation. After the vehicle was parked, inspection of the mirror assembly found severely corroded swivel and corrosion on the bolts holding mirror on the truck.”
NHTSA complaint #11615850, filed 2024-09“When I drive this car on the free way or on a very windy day, a loud air gap is caused by the front driver and passenger window. It hasn't been inspected by the dealer or anything but I believe there could be something wrong with the quality of glass or the seal that hold the glass. I've also driven with the windows lowered on a windy day and saw the edge of the glass bend. I'm worried it's gonna snap or shatter one day. It's been happening since I bought it but I didn't notice until I drove on the free way.”
NHTSA complaint #11463967, filed 2022-05“I noticed that the carpet behind the seat was wet and moldy in the truck so I started looking and noticed the rear window was leaking in two areas. This has obviously been going on for a while as it explains why the kids have been complaining about the smell back there. Since Florida is sub-tropical mold and mildew is a problem and a health issue. I investigated and found hundreds of complaints regarding this issue with failed sealant and cracks. I also discovered a service bulletin that describes the issue but GM refuses to fix it since they say it's not a safety or mechanical issue. …”
