“When my windshield wipers and headlights have been on for an extended period of time, they tend to cut out. My lights will flicker one time and my windshield wipers freeze for a brief second. Also my vehicle has around 36,000mi and recently a “monitor brake pads” has popped up. I have looked at my brakes and they have plenty of life left. I am not sure what to do. My truck should not be “glitching” and having electrical problems, especially with the amount of money it costs.”

NHTSA complaint #11576308, filed 2024-03

“Since new, this vehicle has had two unresolved safety issues. One of which being the failure of a FMVSS 111 required system - rear vision camera. The two defects are: 1. Service 4WD warning message and inability to use 4WD in inclement weather. This has caused safety concerns for my wife and I when traveling in the winter. 2. Failure of the FMVSS 111 required rear view camera system when in reverse. The display screen goes blank with an error message intermittently when in reverse. …”

NHTSA complaint #11574319, filed 2024-02

“Forward Collision System Unavailable and Front Camera Blocked Clean Windshield. This alert populates when the temperature is below 40 degrees. I have taken it to the dealership they ran there diagnostic and said it only needed an update. Problem is still happening I believe this is a manufacture problem. My windshield is not obstructed by anything. This is the only vehicle we have, and I feel my kids and I are at risk when I get these alerts on my dashboard. Problem first appeared back in October when temperatures started dropping in my city.”

NHTSA complaint #11560124, filed 2023-12

“The contact owns a 2020 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The contact stated that while attempting to reverse, he became aware that the display for the rear view camera only displayed the top half of the image. Potentially compromising rear-view visibility. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who diagnosed a failure with the rearview camera programming, but a remedy was not yet available. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but was unable to assist. The failure mileage was 14,000.”

NHTSA complaint #11537957, filed 2023-08, 14,000 miles

“2022 SILVERADO ZR2 on second set of headlights due to extreme moisture inside of headlights and at night becomes a saftey issue due to the water distorting the beam of headlights. The headlights in it now are a year old”
