“Purchased the 2015 Silverado 1500 new on 08/04/2015. Once I was able to use the headlights I noticed the lack of light output on them. I traded in a 2011 kia sedona and the headlights were far superior to them. My 2006 hyundai has better lights. Im not sure what can be done, dealer is aware of it and hopefully will fix soon.”

NHTSA complaint #10748205, filed 2015-08, 3,059 miles

“Affects all current Chevrolet vehicles currently sold into the USA. Chevrolet has begun using the backup lamps (reverse lights) to illuminate the area around the vehicle even when the vehicle is off and not in reverse gear; typically when the driver is accessing & egressing the vehicle, or has actuated the door lock remote. The result is a vehicle appears to be reversing, or about to reverse, even though it's not capable of movement. …”

NHTSA complaint #10681478, filed 2015-02, 1 miles

“When driving at night on any roads the visibility with the low beams is terrible! The high beams are what the low beams should be. It is very difficult to see anything in the distance or on the shoulder. I have bought chevy vehicles for 44 years and am heading out to trade my 2015 Silverado in for a dodge. It' s the safest thing I can do since chevy says there is nothing that be done to fix this problem.”

NHTSA complaint #10836643, filed 2016-02

“The contact owns a 2015 Chevrolet Silverado. The contact stated that the lights on the vehicle were extremely low. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where the failure could not be determined. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 11,500. Updated 05/24/16 the consumer stated the lowbeams do not work on either side.”

NHTSA complaint #10853289, filed 2016-04, 11,500 miles

“The contact owns a 2015 Chevrolet Silverado. While driving at any speed, the headlights were dim and prevented the contact from seeing the road. The contact activated the high beam headlights, which were not bright enough either. There were no warning indicators illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer who stated that there was nothing wrong with the lights. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and stated that there was no recall. The failure was not remedied. The failure mileage was 700.”
