“I have had problems since day one on this Suburban. Most recently the two above. I checked the warranty work that was done on my Suburban and it was over a page of claims. I just cannot remember the dates the items I checked occured. The fuel pump problem was long in the coming, they just didn't know what the problem was. I spent outside of warranty hundreds of dollars on the fuel system. This left us stranded 3 times! This last time cost me $765. Today, the ABS sytem died. They say it's going to cost me close to a $1000 to repair. …”

Please check this tires too before someone get injury or kill. Thanks. ( DOT number: tire size: p265/70/16 )”
NHTSA complaint #727572, filed 2000-08“Electrical- power windows inoperable for the first 8 months that we owned this vehicle, involved 5 trips to the service department before problem was fixed. Body design? Problem - tires did not clear vehicle body without rubbing, causing irreversible damage to the tires. To the extent that the dealer keeps recommending us to buy 4 new tires when ever they service our vehicle. Brakes - possible that there is a kink in the brake booster vacuum supply hose. …”
NHTSA complaint #740962, filed 2001-02“Major tread separation on the right rear of our new Suburban, at highway speed and near boise, idaho. Fortunately the vehicle was removed from the freeway without loss of control. The boise, idaho firestone dealer refused to warrantee the tire, saying the cause was abuse. The tire is 6 months old and can be proved to be monitored regularly. The dealer required that we pay retail for the replacement tire, without any assistance. The tread failure is exactly like the description of the wilderness at failures. …”
NHTSA complaint #732393, filed 2000-09“While driving with my 3 children and preagnant wife we experienced a total failure of the left rear tire. I was traveling about 80mph, I heard a repeating thud which sounded like the thud produced when driving over expansion joints, however, I noticed it was louder than typical and didn't coincide with expenation joint timing. I took my foot off the gas and began to slow down by coasting. All this transpired in about 4 to 10 seconds. Then bang, we hear a loud noise, and our vehicle rear drops. I looked behind me and I see tread and peices of tire flying everywhere. …”
