“When turning on the vehicle the lights will power surge. One day the vehicle just didn't start. The next day it started and as I was driving down the road I lost thermostat control, the power locks were involuntarily going up and down, the radio shut off, and the speedometer and gauges all went to the left and were not working. When I finally parked the vehicle I could smell an electrical burning smell. The vehicle was in motion for all of this on a 2 lane road.”
NHTSA complaint #11310451, filed 2020-02, 100,000 miles“Stopped at a stop sign. The vehicle suddenly lost all electrical power. Lights began flashing. Traction control system turned off and on. Then it went back to normal driving. I just had the Chassis Control Module Recall taken care of as well. The air conditioning is intermittently cutting its ability to cool then suddenly cooling again during this time. When the vehicle turned back on, the strong odor of fuel was present from the air vents. I had reported the issue before but was told by a dealer there is nothing wrong they could see beyond a visual inspection.”
