“In fall of 2018 the hydraulic power brake assist system failed me in a crowded parking lot. I took my car to my Chevrolet dealer and they replaced the hydraulic brake system for almost $500 out of pocket. Now that a recall has been issued Chevrolet refuses to reimburse me for a problem that existed for me almost year ago and nearly caused a bad accident.”

NHTSA complaint #11278009, filed 2019-11, 80,000 miles

“Vacuum pump failure. The issue is presented when the vehicle is driving at low speed and the brake pedal is pressed 3 or 4 times in a short period after that pedal goes all the way down and stop the car is close to impossible. Lou bachrodt Chevrolet - coconut creek representative told me that that's the way this kind of truck work and I need to learn how to drive that truck.”

NHTSA complaint #11190853, filed 2019-03, 20 miles

“Driving on freeway and we lost the breaks. Barley made it off the freeway without crashing. Chevy says its the vacuum pump, right around 50,000 miles. I have read many complaints online with the same issue and same mileage. Will it take someone being killed before this is recalled? Very scary for our family!”

NHTSA complaint #11119907, filed 2018-08, 50,000 miles

“I loose braking when going slow in reverse. The break peddle becomes hard and the vehicle will not stop. This has happened many times and only in reverse. The dealer said it is a known problem but wants $850.00 to replace the booster. They said GM may reimburse me sometime in the future. I do not have $850.00 and should not have this problem with a vehicle with less the 60,000 miles on it.”

NHTSA complaint #11155484, filed 2018-12, 59,000 miles

“After recently purchasing a used 2015 GM vehicle from a non-GM dealership, I made a service appointment with a local authorized GM service shop to have three outstanding safety recall issues addressed. My appointment was for 7:30 am on 8/25/2020 and I brought my vehicle to the shop in the morning of 8/25. After 4:30 pm I returned to retrieve my vehicle, and the service shop had not even brought it in to lol at the issues. …”
