“After recently purchasing a used 2015 GM vehicle from a non-GM dealership, I made a service appointment with a local authorized GM service shop to have three outstanding safety recall issues addressed. My appointment was for 7:30 am on 8/25/2020 and I brought my vehicle to the shop in the morning of 8/25. After 4:30 pm I returned to retrieve my vehicle, and the service shop had not even brought it in to lol at the issues. …”
NHTSA complaint #11351253, filed 2020-08, 151,111 miles“I was involved in a vehicle accident in january of 2017. A very traumatic experience needless-to-say. I was in the far left lane of a 3 lane highway. As I was attempting to switch to the center lane, I suddenly lost the ability to control my steering wheel, as though it was jammed. As a result I continued to glide across the highway, desperately trying to maneuver my steering wheel to go straight. …”
NHTSA complaint #11130822, filed 2018-09, 20,000 miles“We have had a clicking sound in the steering column at low speeds while turning. The dealer has replaced a bushing once and the entire column the second time, the issue is back. However, even though we are under warranty we have installed a lift on the vehicle since the second repair. Even though it was addressed twice before the lift, GM now refuses to look at the vehicle unless we take it back to stock. Clearly the lift is not the issue as it happened twice before it was installed. …”
NHTSA complaint #11032347, filed 2017-10, 29,000 miles“When traveling at interstate highway speeds vehicle had shaking, shimmying, vibration and buffeting as well as loud hum and wind noise causing nausea resulting in nausea and dizziness to the driver. This was worse on new macadam and on grooved highway but occurred intermittently on other surfaces, I just purchased this vehicle used and it is certified. I was unaware that this is a common issue and understand now that there is no recall to fix this and that GM has not found a permanent solution to the problem. …”
NHTSA complaint #11101974, filed 2018-06, 50,000 miles“For the 3rd time my wife while driving her car had these issues! Service power steering where it makes it hard to turn. Brake and ABS lights come on making the brake pedal go to the floor barely stoping the Suburban, service stabilitrac and service trailer brake! This is the second time it's at the dealer the first time it went away so quickly we thought it was a fluke but it definitely scared my wife to death! By the time we get it to the dealer it clears it's self and they can't find anything wrong! …”
