Example complaints

Selected from NHTSA records; personal details are removed. They are consumer reports, not findings.

“the steering wheel heater turned on unexpectedly (it was 70 degrees outside) when I started the car this morning. The wheel was hot to the touch. To turn it off I had to turn it on and then off again. I am worried it may have a short or be a fire hazard if it is on all the time or without being turned on by a sensor or the driver.”
