“The brake pedal is hard to push at low speeds in traffic. It is very difficult to get the car to come to a complete stop especially my wife. Its a shock because it shouldnt take a lot of effort to press the brakes but at low speed you really have too. We have had several near misses with rear ending the vehicle in front because of the difficulty pressing brake.”

NHTSA complaint #11203085, filed 2019-04, 52,000 miles

“An intermittent issue where the bakes fail to engage at low speed. I've noticed it when pulling into parking spaces and inching forward in stop and go traffic. It feels as if there is no hydraulic pressure in the system, and I can feel the ABS pulsing the pedal when it happens. Took it to the GM dealer - they said the brake vacuum pump is failing. Full replacement of the pump is needed.”

NHTSA complaint #11175925, filed 2019-02, 84,000 miles

“When reversing the vehicle, the brakes became stiff and didn't work properly. In order to get the SUV to stop, excessive force had to be used on the brake pedal. We narrowly missed another car. We turned the car off and on and had the same issue going in reverse and forward. Tow truck took it to the dealership.”

NHTSA complaint #11161829, filed 2018-12, 94,537 miles

“The brakes act like they wont work. When you hit them there is a pulsating feeling and when I was trying to stop last night I almost hit a car. When I pulled out of the parking lot, I had to press the brake and push down where I felt the air actually leaving the line. Weve already replaced the front and rear breaks thinking that was the issue and its still happening. We bought the car in may 2020 and this started happening around 12/2020”

NHTSA complaint #11399825, filed 2021-03, 85,800 miles

“Rollling down my drive way my brakes went out. Very spongy. Pressed multiple times and was able to come to a stop with the help of my front bushes. Master cylinder is full brakes are less than a year. I see online that this is a problem with 2014-2018 chevy trucks and suvs. If my wife was driving she could have been hurt. Heaven forbid my kids where in there too. This is obviously a defect in manufacturing and design and should be remedied by chevy.”

NHTSA complaint #11361228, filed 2020-09, 130,000 miles
