“Since purchase, our vehicle has been towed into the dealership because it would not turn off and we had to disconnect the battery. The vehicle did that 2 more times after being towed in. It has had new motor mounts, new rotars, and has been in a GM service center 16 times. The most recent incident was when the vehicle died on a highway with 2 children in the car. Please see attached work history for the vehicle”

NHTSA complaint #11023344, filed 2017-09, 28,768 miles

“The transmission on my 2016 chevy Suburban started to give me problems at 30000 miles, at first I didn't know it was the transmission. The truck started to jump when I switched gears, it lagged on accelerating, there was a humming noise and gears slipped. Currently at 80000 my transmission needs to be replaced car is no longer driveable. I took it for suspension problems and I kept telling dealer that the truck seemed off and further investigation it was confirmed that the transmission was failing.”

NHTSA complaint #11400389, filed 2021-03, 30,000 miles

“When driving on the freeway the motor loses power or feels like wants to turn off. When driving on freeway the SUV sometimes trys to brake by itself and warned that something was in front of me with a clear freeway.”

NHTSA complaint #11385377, filed 2020-12, 79,865 miles

“At times, the entire electrical system fails while the vehicle is operating. Typically, it quickly reboots, but at times will not restart for several minutes. This has happened while making a hard turn at low speed, in which the power steering fails, wheel jerks, and entire electrical system and engine become disabled, and has also happened at highway speed while operating on cruise control, with the electrical system typically shutting down when the blinker is engaged to change lanes. …”

NHTSA complaint #11242419, filed 2019-08, 47,000 miles

“While driving vehicle goes into engine power is reduced mode preventing any accelaration. Once you tap the brakes - that is your new maximum speed. If going up an incline and you slow down - new maximum speed. The vehicle will not accelerate. To make a left turn - the vehicle has to be restarted before there is any sort of power/acceleration to cross the road. A very dangerous situation especially if you cannot easily pull to the right side of the road out of harms way. This has happened 3 times with a brand new 2016 chevy Suburban. Resulting in a close call to an accident. …”
