“The transmission on my 2016 chevy Suburban started to give me problems at 30000 miles, at first I didn't know it was the transmission. The truck started to jump when I switched gears, it lagged on accelerating, there was a humming noise and gears slipped. Currently at 80000 my transmission needs to be replaced car is no longer driveable. I took it for suspension problems and I kept telling dealer that the truck seemed off and further investigation it was confirmed that the transmission was failing.”

NHTSA complaint #11400389, filed 2021-03, 30,000 miles

“I just purchased this vehicle a month ago and already received a recall for the software airbag issue. I traded my 2010 chevy Suburban for this new one and have noticed that the moment I get onto the freeway and start to accelerate the car starts to vibrate so bad that anything in the middle console starts to rattle and the console will spill any drinks sitting there in the cupholders. I have owned chevy vehicles all my life and am very annoyed that this is happening. Something is seriously wrong. …”

NHTSA complaint #10924917, filed 2016-11, 800 miles

“I own a 2016 chevy Suburban ltz purchased feb 29, 2016. It is now at the dealer and for a second time dealing with a vibration issue starting at approximately 43 MPH and continuing to worsen as speed increases. The tires have been road forced balance but vibration is still present. This is the second Suburban with issues, the 2015 I had was so problematic that GM did trade assistance to get me out of it, but it still cost me money. The current 2016 Suburban as only 1600 miles on it and vibration issues began at approximately 900 miles. …”

NHTSA complaint #10870311, filed 2016-05, 900 miles

“Car shakes at speeds over 65mph with no solution from dealer or Chevrolet after multiple trips to dealer for a permanent repair. Or response from Chevrolet customer service”

NHTSA complaint #11010738, filed 2017-07, 5,000 miles

“I replaced the shocks in Oct 2022 and paid for an alignment and now just over 2 years later the dealer said they needed replacing again. This front end has had constant problems, but now I see there was a recall on the 2016 Suburbans, but it is not listed under my VIN. I believe if they have had problems, possibly at another manufacturing, it should be considered that this is the problem. I have now paid for the repair of the upper control arm and both front shocks and a wheel alignment again. …”
