“My 2013 chevy Tahoe ltz front tires are cupping on the outter edges and appear worn out. I took it to two different shops and had the vehicle aligned, balanced, and tires rotated. They were unable to diagnose the problem but highly recommended that the struts be replaced even if they are not leaking. I provided the dealership where I purchased the vehicle with original receipts to prove that I had took the truck in to two other shops previously. I also purchased a service warranty plan when I purchased the vehicle and although this repair is included, they refuse to fix the problem.”
NHTSA complaint #11023395, filed 2017-09, 70,000 miles“During pursuit training a 2013 Tahoe suffered a catastrophic failure of the wheel suspension assembly. This is the third identical incident in the past month. The other two vehicles were 2014 police pursuit tahoes. In all instances the front wheel assembly failed during a turn. The race or inner dust cover for the wheel bearing assembly separated. This resulted in the bearings coming loose, and the wheel subsequently folding under. In two instances the vehicle was in danger of a rollover situation. …”
NHTSA complaint #10695341, filed 2015-03, 85,000 miles“Vehicle randomly throws Stabilitrak, Traction control and ABS codes. Engine derates to limp mode. Transmission goes to full line pressure shifts. A cycle of the ignition system will reset the system a majority of the time. There is no recall but the general consensus in the mechanical world is two things cause this issue. Throttle body is bad and/or the steering position sensor fails causing the stabilitrak system to be disabled (which in a 2013 Tahoe, stabilitrak cannot be turned off) I have replaced the throttle body with an OEM part and the problem still occurs with our vehicle. …”
