“While driving my 2005 Chrysler 300 with the hemi motor thru my subdivision at 25mi per hour the rack-n-pinion broke and the stabilizer bar broke, causing a badly bent rim, that caused the bolts under the car to become sheared off, causing a accident. Just and fyi I purchased the car 12/04 and the parts broke off on 3/19/2005”
NHTSA complaint #10119762, filed 2005-05, 2,000 miles“Wheels on Chrysler 300c are corroding and protective coating is peeling. Daimler Chrysler admits problem but believes it related to corrosive carwashes despite the fact that I wash my car with water. As corrosion continues it will likely compromise the integrity of the wheels.”
NHTSA complaint #10128447, filed 2005-07, 10,000 miles“The rim of my Chrysler 300c car has cracked with no apparent impact. The crack then makes the tire lose pressure. This happened not on only 1 wheel but on 2 wheels at 2 different times. Had to replace the rims both times.”
NHTSA complaint #10126414, filed 2005-06, 19,280 miles“My headlights flickers on and off. This hazard almost caused me to have a serious accident. The lights goes from dim to off at any moment while I'm driving or if my car is standing still. Also, my signal lights began flashing out of control. Sometimes other drivers can see that I' signaling to turn and sometimes they can't. I've been told that my lights are fine. Evidently, this is one of Chrysler's defects. In addition, I've trouble with my front end wheels on my car. I've had to get the bearing that keeps your car going straight while driving replaced.”
NHTSA complaint #10786642, filed 2015-10“All four rims or wheels are pitted where the chrome is pitted around the outside of all 4 wheels, vehicle has 20,000 miles on it and only a year old. Should be covered under 3/36,000 but Chrysler not wanting to back this up and get me new wheels. I have a 300c with a hemi.”
