“Bubbles in back left tire, wheel shaking, trunk closed on owners hand. The dealership hollywood kia did not take car back next day, we left keys with receptionist who refused to give a receipt, kept 2000 deposit and is selling the online for 2000 more than we paid. My name still on title.”
NHTSA complaint #10628312, filed 2014-08, 59,000 miles“I was driving in the fast lane on the interstate and all of a sudden the car began to shut down. It took all my might to move the car from the fast lane to the median, which was on the opposite side of the slow lane. I could have easily been killed due to the speeds of the cars around me.this was the most frightening situation I've ever been in!! I am not due for an oil change until next month. The car never sounded funny or anything.”
NHTSA complaint #10693599, filed 2015-03, 140,000 miles“Driving on curve on a busy highway, was unable to make slight turn until I forced steering wheel to turn. Signal light some how jammed up steering. If it was my wife she would have been in an accident because I had to apply a lot of force to turn and doing so heard something snap in the steering column. Steering is working now. But now signal light is not. I have to manually turn on/off signal each and every time.”
NHTSA complaint #10314191, filed 2010-02, 80,000 miles“I was driving on a city street, going 25 MPH when I heard a knocking sound, I thought it was something I had hit but, it wasn't. I kept driving for about 5 blocks when it occurred again. I pulled into a service station and the mechanic told me that it sounded like it was my tie rods. I contacted a mechanic and he told me that its was the tie rods. I have never had a problem in all the years I have had my car, but this is a first. Not sure if this is under a recall or if anyone else is experiencing this, but it can be frightening.”
NHTSA complaint #10701865, filed 2015-03, 148,281 miles“While driving my 2005 Chrysler 300 with the hemi motor thru my subdivision at 25mi per hour the rack-n-pinion broke and the stabilizer bar broke, causing a badly bent rim, that caused the bolts under the car to become sheared off, causing a accident. Just and fyi I purchased the car 12/04 and the parts broke off on 3/19/2005”
