“The contact owns a 2012 Chrysler 300. While the vehicle was being serviced for an unrelated issue, the independent mechanic discovered that all four tire bolts were fractured. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 100,000.”
NHTSA complaint #10693102, filed 2015-03, 100,000 miles“The contact owns a 2012 Chrysler 300. The contact noticed that the front driver side tire was flat and the tire pressure warning indicator illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that there was a crack in the rim. The rim was welded at the dealer. The issue recurred on the front passenger side tire where it was discovered that three cracks were visible, and that the rim was welded. The manufacturer was not notified. The failure mileage was unknown.”
