“The molding between the hood and the windshield flew off as I was driving in the freeway. I was driving like I normally do ( approx. 65mph), when fwy is clear of cars; this is not reason enough for this car part to fly off. Luckily, fwy was clear, if not, I could of had an accident since it affected my visibility while driving. Once I replace this, I wonder if next time... Will I have an accident? How to ask they install it so it doesn't fly off? …”

“I was parking on a parking lot and lot had a structured small post on the driver side; due to visibility that the vehicle lamp omitted to light properly, I damaged the front right corner bumper. I have noticed that the corner lamp assemblies have a problem with the reflectors. This lamp doesn't have the required amber side reflectors don't work well cause I can barely see (not like my other cars). There is a recall set already for part number cs114-u0bj2 which is a combination corner and lamp assembly for this vehicle. …”

“Yesterday I had to go to the hospital because the trunk lid fell on my neck when I was unloading my trunk. This car has an electrical trunk that opens and the trunk also, has a spring air rod that controls the hold of the open trunk. I know this failed because the trunk just lost its hold all of a sudden and landed on my neck. As I tried to lift it from above me (its very heavy- big trunk), my left hand index finger broke and my left arm and hand are in pain. Not to mention, the severe pain I am undergoing with my neck. I also bled a lot and immediately went to the emergency room. …”

NHTSA complaint #10138240, filed 2005-09, 55,000 miles

“Dt: contact stated that the trunk lid fell on his head and caused an injury. The lifts that hold the trunk lid up failed. The dealer has not been contacted yet. The manufacturer informed him there were no recalls on the trunk and offered no free remedy. He had the problem for two years, but did not experience an injury until now. The lifts that hold the truck lid open were not replaced after the injury.”
