“Vehicle: 1999 Chrysler Concorde lxi, pproximate milage: 50,000 problem: steering wheel; rack and pinion: ( 1.) the steering wheel jams and I have to jerk the steering wheel to release it. ( 2.) there is also 1/2 to 1 of play in the steering wheel either way when it is working properly . The problem started intermitently then rapidly worsened. I spoke to a mechanic and he said this is a common problem with this model. My coworker is approching 50,000 miles with a 2000 Chrysler 300m, (an upgrade, but basiclly the same car), he is having the same problem. …”

We have repeatedly had problems with A/C erratic operation as other consumers reported. Fully alarmed by numerous fuel throttle and seatback collapse problems reported. R&p steering unit replaced. Steering was real loose.”

“The contact owns a 1999 Chrysler Concorde. The contact stated that the ABS light illuminated and she heard a noise in the engine compartment. The mechanic stated that the pump motor circuit for the ABS failed and caused the light to illuminate. The approximate cost to repair the vehicle was between $1,500 to $2,000. The front rotors were replaced in april of 2006 and in september of 2007. In january of 2007, the front driver side bearing was replaced. The mechanic stated that the failure was due to poor design and cheap parts. The air conditioner also began to leak. …”
